Postsecondary Feedback Systems: Is This Feedback Data Included in School and/or District Report Cards to the Public?
High school and district report cards are accountability reports that are distributed to the public and posted on the department of education's Web site. The reports typically include information on student demographics, performance indicators and school finance. The information below indicates which of the states with postsecondary feedback systems require feedback system data to be included in these school and district report cards to the public.
Why does it matter?
Communities have the right to know how well schools are preparing students for postsecondary education.Highlights:
Currently, four states include feedback data on their accountability report cards.
One state, Ohio, will include the data beginning in 2012. Methodology: This information was collected from state statutes, rules and regulations, and state education agencies, and will be updated as new policies and programs are enacted. Sources for all data points are available through this link. Last updated: June 17, 2008 Research conducted by Michael Colasanti.
